Hi, it’s Sean Cooper here.

My mission is to help 25,000 people in the world overcome their shyness or social anxiety… and get the friends, confidence and romantic partner you want.

That’s me in the photo above. I’m sitting with a pretty Russian friend I met while traveling in Colombia.

Today, I live a life beyond my wildest dreams — filled with purpose, confidence, friends, freedom, travel — and so much more. But it didn’t start out that way.

This page will tell you more about me and my mission to help people overcome shyness and social anxiety.

Growing up I was always a shy boy. I remember hiding behind my Mom’s leg during the first day of kindergarten.

It was only around the ages of 5-7 that my shyness turned into severe social anxiety. After a couple of “traumas,” I became extremely nervous, awkward and quiet around people.

By the time I started my studies at the University of Ottawa, I was a total lone wolf and a virgin. On top of that I felt myself slipping into depression, maybe because I had no friends and no chance of getting a girlfriend.

One night I said to myself “I am going to figure this out for myself, no matter what it takes”.

I decided to study many different areas of psychology, therapy, self improvement, dating advice, etc. I combined all the best pieces of advice from all these areas and cured my own social anxiety. Soon after I created “The Shyness and Social Anxiety System,” a program that’s received stunning reviews from psychologists and people like you.

But it wasn’t exactly easy to “figure it out”! I quickly found out that most of the information on overcoming shyness and social anxiety out there was not only bad … it’s worse than useless!

Warning: Most Of The Advice Out There Is Ineffective Or Just Plain Wrong

1. First there’s the website articles out there written by people who have never actually been shy or socially anxious.

These writers give you motivational phrases like “you just have to believe in yourself and not care about what anyone thinks of you.” Yeah, right. If they had ever experienced how bad shyness or social anxiety actually feels like, then they wouldn’t be giving such useless advice.

I expose a lot of this bad advice in this article.

2. Then there’s the “hypnosis” tapes on those shady internet websites.

Here’s all I have to say about them: If you actually believe they work, then go ahead and buy them. I’m not going to stop you wasting your money.

Personally I’m very suspicious of people who claim to cure every problem in the world with just one tool.

3. Then there’s all the “psychologists” out there doing scientific studies.

You would probably assume that someone with a PhD can give you good advice.

The truth is that although they know a lot about the CAUSES of shyness and social anxiety… they know very little about how to actually cure them!

4. Then we go to the “psychotherapists.”

These are the people who are supposed to take all that theory from the psychologists and use it to fix people’s mental issues.

Actually, I found that psychotherapists weren’t all bad. Generally speaking, they will tell you to journal your thoughts and see which thoughts are irrational so you can stop them in the future. Then they will help you to schedule times when you will face your fears, like going to the grocery store twice a week.

This approach works for some people, but there are many downsides. Basically all psychotherapists have never had shyness or social anxiety, so all they can really do is read you instructions from their training book. They can only repeat to you what they read and HOPE it will work for you.

And if you have any specific issues, they will just give you the same basic advice anyone else would: “Believe in yourself and don’t care about people’s opinion.”

Oh, and there’s also the fact that you’re paying someone over a hundred dollars an hour to solve an issue they have never had to face. You get to sit there spilling out your worst insecurities and most humiliating thoughts while they collect the checks and then go home to spend anxiety-free time with their family and many close friends.

So Who Can Teach You How To Overcome Shyness or Social Anxiety?

How about someone who’s actually done it himself?
