13 Things Confident People Don’t Do

There’s some things that confident people simply DON’T do.

Call them habits. Call them skills.

Whatever you call them, in the video above I outline 13 things you should absolutely STOP doing if you want to be more confident.

  1. Compare themselves to others
  2. Judge themselves
  3. Dwell on the past
  4. Waste Time Feeling Sorry for themselves
  5. Passively Wait Life To Improve
  6. Shy Away From Change
  7. Avoid (Calculated) Risks
  8. View Failure As The End Of The World
  9. Live By Other People’s Standards
  10. Give Away Power
  11. Try To Please Everyone
  12. Avoid Rejection
  13. Demand Perfection Of Themselves

Part of the inspiration for this video came from an article I read by Amy Morin here.

  • This was a nice video and a good read 🙂 I’m working on some of the things you brought up and some lessons I’m learning faster than others. It’ll take time but I know I can get rid of my social anxiety. Anyway, keep up the awesome work. Who knows? You might help someone find their breakthrough.

  • Thanks very much for the video . I have a bad social anxiety right now and ur words helped me relax and trying to overcome this

    • I got some pretty gnarly social anxiety too. It becomes crippling sometimes. But what we are making an effort to get over it. That is a great accomplishment alone.

      Good luck to you man.

  • I would say I’ve grown fairly confident over the years. Still, have many of the above behaviors, but they are more easily discarded for healthier thoughts, or just moving on. Great advice though!
